One of my favorite parts of our trip!
We went to Vegas for our two year anniversary last week and it was awesome! We left Wednesday afternoon after I got off work and got there about ten. We just looked around our hotel that night mostly, we stayed at the Stratosphere. We were there for four days so we saw a lot while there. Since we were staying at the Stratosphere we could go up to the tower as often as we wanted to! They had really comfy couches up there so we just sat up there looking at the city for awhile, we went up there a couple of times.
Our hotel had a way fun pool so we went there for a day... it was so hot down there!!! We wanted to swim during our days and only go exploring at night ha, I don't like it when it is more that 100 degrees out personally.
Saturday was the funnest day there! We went to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings (our second time this trip), that place is so good! Then we went to the Luxor to see the Titanic artifact exhibition. I was so excited for this because my little sister, Ali, and I used to be OBSESSED with Titanic. Not just the movie either we knew all the facts about it and read tons of books. This same exhibit used to travel and it came to SLC like 6 years ago and I wanted to see it so bad, but ended up missing it. I was so bummed! When Ali told me she saw it in Vegas I just HAD to go. I loved it! They had recreations of the rooms and deck, a bunch of life stories from passengers, an ice burg, jewelry and dishes that were found at the bottom of the ocean, and the best part was the big piece! It was a huge piece of the ship that they brought up out of the ocean and they cleaned it off so it could be preserved. It had some portholes in it with the glass still there, I thought that was the coolest thing ever. It was so big, but was really only a teeny tiny part of the ship. Steve wasn't all that excited for it, but he loved it too.
Then we hung out at the Bellagio until "O" started. The Bellagio is way nice inside and out and a good place to people watch we found out ;) The we went to the show and it was AMAZING! I said wow like every few minutes through the whole show. The music was amazing and the performance was spectacular! It was mostly Steve who wanted to go to it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to since it would take most of our spending money for the trip, but holy cow it was definitely worth it. The video at the top is just a short clip of the swings. I seriously could have watched them do tricks on it all night. They also had this flying boat type thing that they would do acrobat/gymnastic stuff and that was way fun to see. They had some contortionists too and they were kinda creepy... people should not be able to bend like that!
After "O" we went to a comedy hypnotist in Planet Hollywood. Steve went up to see if he could be hypnotized and was unsuccessful. There were definitely people who it did work on though and they did some crazy things. I have always wanted to see if I could be hypnotized, but don't want to make a fool of myself so I will never try it. We left Sunday morning and stopped at the St. George temple on the way since we both had never been there before. It was very pretty and had a lot of visitors. I told Steve that I want to start going to a different temple every year so I can see all the ones in Utah.
I just love summertime and all the fun trips we get to take together. These two years have flown by for me and are the funnest times I have had in my life. I am looking forward to all the adventures we are going to have together in the years to come :)
That does look cool! You need to blog alot, the girls love looking at pictures and hearing people's comments on Facebook. They sure do miss both of you! Love you guys
